Virtual I/O Server limitations? 1 Year ago
|
|
|
Hello,
I would like to ask, if there is any limit imposed to the maximum number of disks, that can be assigned to a VIO Server...
I think I have heard of a certain recommended maximum of disks per virtual adapter, but I wasn't able to find that information again.
Please advise. Thanks!

If you meant the number of LUNs per vscsi adapters, then this is the formula:
max number of LUNs per vSCSI adapter=INT(510/(q+3)), q=queue_depth of all LUNs.

Hi,
double-check memory usage inside the VIO server and make sure that %comp does not eceed 90 percent.
