Setting the bad block relocation policy of a VG 1 Year, 1 Month ago
Hello,

A known fact is, that the bad block relocation policy of a VG can be changed using chvg -b
I've been searching for this option in the corresponding smitty chvg screen and I can't find
such an entry. There is no such possibility for altering the BB POLICY neither if the VG has
been varied off.
Although, on a LV level, smitty can do this - Enable BAD BLOCK relocation yes/no
Can this be done throught SMIT at all or it's a missing feature of SMIT allmighty?

Hello,

you are correct, the BB Policy of a VG is not changeable with smit. Looking into the ODM entries of smit in /usr/lib/objrepos verifies that the option is available for LVs only.

Regards
Claus
