AIX 6.1 TL2 and VIO Server 2.1 available |

The new technology level for AIX, TL2 is now available for download. The VIO Server level 2.1 (based on AIX 6.1) is available as well. The new NPIV feature is not yet available (requires HMC 734 and FW340). It is expected to be available mid decmeber along with the second service pack auf AIX 6.1 TL2.
New fetures that come along with the new software level(s):
- Virtual tape support
- Support for live partition mobility between different HMCs
- NPIV support (mid december)
- nmon integrated with topas
- Enhancements to WPAR technology
Active memory sharing is not yet part of the enhancements. |
